DEAR SEATMATE (Mila)

I wonder if you are single or married
Your beauty is so striking I am honestly worried
I can't help myself but ask your name
Though afraid to play the game I lost all over again

I can't blame myself in getting attracted to you
I am just a man whose heart is true
I would be lying if I say you're not pretty
Though I am worried you will find me ugly

Please don't tell me you are already married
Just say you're single I'll readily believe
We are both strangers to each other after all
Just pretend you like me too so I'll feel wonderful

I'm leaving in a minute will you tell me your name?
If you think you can't trust I got myself all to blame
But if you want to own this poem forever
Better tell me now it's now or never.

DEAR CRUSH...

My problem started when I first saw you smile

My heart malfunctioned it stopped beating for a while
My lungs almost collapsed I can hardly breathe
Your killer smile is too fatal and sweet

Every night I can't sleep I just kept smiling
These lovely images of yours in my head kept flashing
In all the words I say your name kept popping
I am terribly overwhelmed by these strange feelings

I went to a witch doctor to get some prescription
Her diagnosis for me is severe and chronic infatuation
I was advised to avoid you especially your kiss
Or I will suffer forever this magical disease

A wizard warned me that you are dangerous
You could be a carrier of a love virus
I am now hopeless and desperate with my situation
You are the cause and the very source of my infection

A fairy whispered my sickness has an antidote
All I need to do is send you this love note
If you are suffering the same symptoms I'm telling you
We'll both be cured by telling each other "I love you."

PRETTY WOMAN

Pretty woman be very careful

Your charm is dangerous its also powerful
Being Beautiful is like a magnet
It can distract any stranger or a poet

You're a rare wine men gets intoxicated with you
You're like a diamond every woman envies you
You're like a train men stopped looked and listened
You're like a star men just kept gazing

Admirers will flood you with all sweet compliments
Suitors will shower you gifts to your hearts content
But there's a price of everything always remember
Be wise and clever or you'll greatly suffer

You can get what you want with lesser effort
Good looking guys'll volunteer to be your escort
Don't get reckless by accepting all offer
Just one false move you'll be in danger

Just take your time in chosing your man
The rich and handsome is not necessarily the one
Look for honesty kindness and good character
These are the qualities of a great lover

But if one day some stranger breaks your heart
Read this poem again and be very smart
Looking for a poet lover is a good start
He'll love you forever 'till death do you part.

THE SETTING SUN

Thank you sun for another day
See you tomorrow if its meant to be
I'm grateful enough for the chance to live
Our lives are made possible with the light you give

BEAUTY

Beauty indeed is in the eye of the beholder
These three rock islands may look ugly to stare
But they are the silent witnesses of my treasured memories
They looked beautiful to me and a source of happiness.

ONE DAY

One day we'll all find ourselves dying
A reality we'll all soon be facing
A question will be ask before our death
Did we live very contented or full of regret?

We will realized we were all fooled
Many false wisdom and lies we were told
We should have listened to our minds and hearts
And chase our desires from the start

Forced to conform the expectations of society
We endured all discomforts and anxieties
Our own dreams and desires were set aside
To please other people we swallowed our pride

Only to realise we were not happy
We lived a mediocere life and hyporcisy
We let all our dreams die before our eyes
We succumbed to presures and compromised

It will be too late for us to regret
We only lived once, there's no repeat
We allowed fear and discomfort to control our fate
Because in ourselves we didn't have faith.

THE ADVENTURE

Lucky is the child who is born poor
The life ahead of him is full of surprises and adventure
His journey to success is very long and winding
Making his life full of thrill and worth living

He will wake up everyday to fight for food
He must endure pains as much as he could
Along the way he will find true friends
Willing to fight and die for him until the end

Small victories and sucess are all he needs
Sharing it to loved ones is his main creed
Death is a reality he welcomes everyday
With no fear, no regrets and no worry

THANK YOU CAREN

Thank you Caren you're an angel
You're not just kind but pretty as well
I wish everyone is helpful like you
Ready to help when being ask to

I wish you luck I wish you love
I have nothing to give, words are all I have
But keep this poem as a little token
For a woman whose haert is truly golden.

APRIL & RYZA

If I were to choose between the two of you I'd be in trouble
Because its obvious you are good friends I can see it all
Secondly I find both of you charming and pretty
You both possess the looks universally called 'beauty'

I'd rather just be your friend and strengthen your bond
So the three of us can walk as friends hand in hand
Pardon my assumptions that the two of you are single
If your boyfriends or husbands find out I'm in deep trouble

Still I hope you'll both appreciate this poem
From someone so unhappy and burdened with problem
All I wanted is to make some strangers happy
Because I'm so bored, troubled and lonely. Bow!

BEAUTIFUL HYPE

Never envy the man who tows a very beautiful wife
You have no idea of the sufferings and problems of his life
The beauty of a woman are just good for display, its skin deep
You have no idea of the ugly things and character that she keeps

Most beautiful girls these days are very hard to please
You have to spend a fortune before taste her first kiss
She is wooed my many its very hard to confine her
The rivalry is tight you have to guard her forever

Better find the woman who possess a golden heart
She will me you happy and secure from the very start
You can live comfortably enjoying her loyalty
Marriage is not all about beauty, but love, respect and loyalty.

FILIPINA

Undoubtedly you're one of the prettiest woman on Earth
You value your family and self respect more than wealth
Your dedication and commitment is rare and incomparable
You give light, love and happiness to every home above all

You have the softest heart, susceptible of being fooled
Yet willing to sacrifice for your loved ones 'til you get old
Sometimes too naive to suffer in the name of love
You are tough, intelligent, hardworking and all of the above

I would never trade you to any woman of different race
You are sweet, fragrant, caring and loving with pleasant face
No wonder all men around the world are craving for you
Because you are the perfect female specie this world ever knew.

MORNING KISS

All my life I had a wish
To truly find a lasting happiness
Now I realized I am blessed
I wake up beside you with morning kiss

Your warm and tender hug is soothing
It heals all discomfort and suffering
I forgot yesterday and don't care for tomorrow
Your arms is my heaven where my soul glows

My heart is overflowing with joy
I have you with me like a teddy bear toy
We can kiss and hug all day in our bed
All worries are forgotten and dead

This is the day I longed to have
To feel so happy and fell in love
Your morning kiss lights up my day
In you arms is where I want to be.

I'M HAPPY

I never thought this is possible
I am now the happiest man of all
I don't have fortune I don't have money
Yet I have the most loving and beautiful honey

I never thought heaven exists
Now I'm convinced it's in our midst
Because I felt peace and true contentment
Nothing can contain my hearts excitement

Now I believe in life their is hope
Just endure all the test like a bad dope
At the end of the tunnel there's always light
As long as you keep fighting and hang on tight

CEBU

Yes I feel in love the first time I saw you
Your warmth and beauty make my spritis glows
You breathe the countryside breeze yet you look modern
You possess charms and mysteries I am eager to learn

The sugar white beaches are simply beyond compare
Beautiful and sexy women are scattered everywhere
Decent and friendly people treat me well and nice
I am here to stay forever you are my paradise

The foods you offer are delicious yet very affordable
I can eat western dinner or simply eat in a cheap stall
I can shop to a modern mall or siply explore the countryside
I look forward to become a true Cebuano and say it with pride.

THE GIFTED

Don't feel bad if people think you're wierd
Their minds crawl like worms, yours fly like bird
Their eyes are weak, their visions are limited
Yours are sharp, colorful and far sighted

Don't feel insulted if they say your idea is rediculous
Thier minds can't comprehend them or they're just jealose
Just ignore all the pessimism because they don'thelp
Let your actions and acheivements explain for itself

You are meant to scale hieghts and soar up in the sky
You have to cross deserts and continents, don't ask why
You can dive to the deepest seas and sail vast oceans
Just believe in yourself, all of these things can be done

Your talent is rare, your mind is extra ordinary
You may feel alone, sad and sometimes lonely
But you have more reasons to feel confident and excited
Because you meant for greater things, you are gifted.

MAN

You are God's gift to every woman
To color their world and have some fun
Because their lives are full of drama
They need to smell man's simple aroma

You also need to make a woman cry
They need it badly, don't ever ask why
Because no book can ever define them
All they need are attention and loving

Don't ever expect to satisfy women
Just be around and be enduring
Don't also try to argue them with logic
All they want is caress that works like magic

Always remember you are a man
Woman will try to change you if they can
But God knows women needs some contradictions
to make their lives full of thrill, that's your mission.

HUMBLED

I was tough, bright and successful
Everything was easy I could handle it all
I disregard the opinions of love ones and friends
Because I'm in 'The Man' there's no fight I can't win

I was the best I could handle the challenge
I was prepared and battle tested, I had the experience
But things did not happened as I have planned
All my dreams failed, all hopes were gone

My pride shattered into a million pieces
My heart was broken and full of stitches
I am nothing but a useless breathing soul
No more will to move on at all

Only time will tell if I'll survive
There's no point to stay alive
I want to run I want to hide
I cannot live without my pride

I paid the price and learned a lesson
I'm just human to errors I am prone
I was once arrogant and I stumbled
The prideful me is dead, I am humbled

THE RICH MAN

I am a rich man, don't envy me
I work harder than anyone, I love my money
I help a lot of people by giving them jobs
If you're a hard worker join me, I'll be glad

Don't ever think I got rich by doing nothing
I have plenty of things to do I worry everything
I barely have time for my self and family
So stop telling I'm lucky coz it's not so funny

If you think I have callous heart you are wrong
I've been fooled many times I got my lessons
Many took advantage of me because I was a giver
People made me wiser, cunning and too clever

If you're not rich, you'll probably won't understand
I had my share of failures too, I'm just a man
But I did everything to be where I am
I risked my health and relationship with love ones

Next time you meet a rich man think of what I said
We've come a long long way the highest price we paid
Because in this world nothing is for free
This is the hard truth, I hope this sets you free.

HOMEWARD BOUND

Alas, I am finally heading home
To a place so dear, I can truly call my own
Though there's no family waiting there for me
Still got old neighbors and childhood memory

Our house was long destroyed and gone
Most people there no longer know who I am
I left that place when I was sixteen
Its my beloved birth place named St. Christine

All I'm bringing is a back pack and sad story
Because I failed in my quest for fame and glory
But I'm heading home not to mourn or worry
It's my time to enjoy and reminisce old memory

It was there I started to build my boyhood dream
To become someone great and rich to the extreme
I'll have my quiet time there, my old self I will hunt
Perhaps revise my ambitions and make them more relevant

Maybe I failed because my dreams are too selfish
I will think of something noble and do some service
Because life have taught me how to become a legend
By using talents to serve others and gain more friends

Beloved St. Christine, here I come
Prepare the red carpet and ready the marching band
Though I'd prefer a surprise arrival greeted by a dog's bark
At the house my old friends and neighbors close to my heart.

THE LOST EAGLE

Listen to me my friend, you're an Eagle
You're not supposed to scratch the ground you're meant to soar
Look at your powerful wings and your long sharp talons
They are meant to be used, to great heights you belong

Haven't you noticed you look awkward and too different
You are bigger that the rest inside you feel confident
Deep with in you, is a hunter who is cunning and smart
Ignore what others tell you, better listen to your heart

Perhaps you are wondering who am I to tell you this
I was once a lost Eagle like you, better listen before you perish
There's a bigger world out there waiting for you to explore
Just thrust those wings and powerful legs you are ready to soar

But let me tell something before you disappear and fly
I have a very important message please spread them before I die
It is your duty to help others especially our fellow lost Eagles
Tell them what I just told you, our kind is born to rule

If one day you'll be lucky you find yourself the Ruler
Don't forget to use compassion to the unfortunate be fair
Always Keep a balance between reasons and kindness
That is key to success and your reward is true happiness

THE LOSER

I don't have much to tell you, I am a loser
All I got are heartaches, humiliation and despair
But if you insist to listen I might just dig deeper
Behind all my defeats there were lessons to share

I started young and was full of hope
I did everything to succeed I had to cope
I played the games and bend some rules
I rose with fame and fortune, I had it all

My friends suddenly multiplied exponentially
I lost count of them including my money
I entered the dangerous world of gambling and drugs
My life then took a dive from riches to rags

I lost everything including my loved ones
They no longer trust me coz I'm the conman
I should have listened to their whispered advise
I was just too naive, I was not wise

Thank you for listening to my story my friend
I now realize I'm still young, this is not the end
Will you please excuse me I have a catching up to do
I'm wiser now with experience, I'll rise again, thank you.

THE GAME

Once upon a time in not so distant past
A woman stole my heart wearing a mask
She pretended to be a sincere friend
Seducing me was all that she intend

I played along because I was ready
Her secret moves won't work for me
Because like her I'm also a heart theft
We have dirty pasts that we both keep

We played the game and fell in love
Ready to give up all that we have
We both discovered we're compatible
We confessed to each other we bare it all

Today we're heart thieves, no more
We love each other so much, we're both sure
The magic of love is too powerful
It changes everybody including the fools

THE FINANCIAL ADVISER

Be careful young man too much money is dangerous
It can cause you tragedy if you don't put it to good use
Put your money in the bank never in your head
If you're not too careful trouble is where money leads

Be watchful too, money brings more friends and relatives
All of them are nice some of them are thieves
They'll ask for lots of favor you must learn to say No
Trust the people you already knew before your money leaves you

Money is a magnet to everything especially the criminals
They'll come to you with big smiles but bites your back like wild animal
Better live a low key life don't be in a hurry to spend
Actually I'm broke... .. will you lend me some money dear friend?

CHILD'S PLAY

Show me those smiles little kids
You are the future of our race I believe
I envy your life of innocence
Knowledge is all but a devil's presence

I wish to be a child like you once again
Adult's life is so stressful and full of scheme
When I was young I was in a hurry to grow
Being innocent is a bliss, now I know

I got nothing to give to you but words
Something to ponder when you grow old
Be tender to kids who are at play
It their best moment in life, let them be

One day you'll see this picture you'll wonder
How I capture your innocent faces so tender
I was that guy you called "Sir Jun"
Your friendly neighbor on vacation.

POOR MAN'S TREASURE

Yes I'm a poor man yet full of pride
My conscience is clear I got nothing to hide
I have no fortune to brag but my word of honor
I'll bet my own life to protect it, that's for sure

Money is something I rarely have
I earned them fairly I work very hard
Food is available though never abundant
Enough to fill hunger its what I want

I sleep well every night eight hours or more
Quarrels are mostly about money I wish for more
But its something beyond me I have no means
I'm just a son of a poor man to my kids I explain

My ultimate dream is to educate my kids until college
I let them grow with less, yet full of discipline and courage
They have their own ambitions I don't intend to interfere
They are my hope and my treasure...

I'M FINE

Don't worry about me, I'm fine
My heart is aching every day, I'm fine
I want to kill somebody, I'm fine
Nobody cares about me, I'm fine

I see no hope in life, I'm fine
I separated with my wife, I'm fine
I am a jobless father, I'm fine
I've been suffering forever, I'm fine

This life is so unfair, I'm fine
I can't hold it any longer, I'm fine
I need a someone to love me, I'm fine
I am alone and lonely, I'm fine

I'm fine baby, I'm fine
What ever you ask me, I'm fine
Because nobody really cares, I'm fine
But the truth is... ...I'm fine

MOVING ON

Today is another day,
A new beginning
I'll face all this tragedy,
Though my heart is aching

If time heals all wounds,
I'm not expecting
But I have no other choice,
I need to keep going

The sun is smiling brightly,
I don't care
The birds are singing merrily,
Up on the air

Whatever tommorow brings
I'll embrace
Until I learn to sing again,
With happy face

For now I'll just endure
I'm hanging on
Though I'm not so sure
I will move on

On day I'll recover
I'll celebrate
Until this life is over
I won't quit

MIRROR, MIRROR!

Mirror, Mirror on my side,
is that the guy with broken pride?
Miror, Mirror in my car,
is that guy on his selfie an action star?

Mirror, Mirror tell me the honestly
Is that guy the real me?
Mirror Mirror don't answer me
If you do, it means I'm already crazy!

DEAR SELFIE

I already took a thousand photos of you,
There's too many
I've tried all the angles and facial expressions,
You're still ugly

So never expect a dozen likes,
You are dreaming
Maybe one or two comment you'll get,
From mama and best friend

Oh please don't blame yourself,
Its not your fault
Your great, great grandpa is an Ape,
You are the result

Better stick to your writing,
You have the chance
You'll might have a handful of fans
But not romance

Better go back to work
Move your butt
Try those shovels and fetch fork
You'll burn those fats. Bow!

EVERYTIME

Every time you smile at me,
My heart skips a beat
Every time you're near me,
I feel very strong and fit

Every time you talk to me,
Time I lost track
Every time you kiss me,
My whole body gets shocked

Every time you tease me,
I lost my focus
Every time you say goodbye,
Part of me wants to die

Girl,
You are the apple of my eye
I promise to love only you,
'til I die

By : Jun Abines

NAUGHTY

Yes I confess,
I am naughty
Every time I think of you
My mind gets dirty

I've kissed your lips thousand times,
Don't get angry
I did it in my dreams every night,
Please forgive me

You have no idea how much I like you
I'm not lying
If you give the chance to love you
I'll do everything

I maybe a naughty boy
But I'm sincere
I promise you won't regret it
I'm a great lover.

By : Jun Abines

INSECURE

Oh girl you're so beautiful,
I feel insecure
I felt I'm too ugly for you,
We're incompatible

I got nothing to brag,
But my sense of humor
You are almost perfect,
I won't ask for more

I don't know what are my chances,
But I will try
I must tell you 'I love you'
Though I felt shy

I feel so very insecure,
But I won't let you go
Until the time you tell me,
That you love me too

RARE ANGEL

Girl I've never been to a paradise before
But seeing your beauty I think you belong there, I'm sure
I have no idea either what is heaven, I'm not wise
But I have no doubt you're a true Angel in disguise

Your face is more beautiful than any flower I've seen
Your voice is more melodious than any birds that sing
Your breath is more fragrant than any perfume I've smelled
Your presence alone make me feel so thrilled

Maybe you originated from a magical world
But your charm is better than Cinderella, many times fold
Maybe you came from the place where the fairies lived
You make me feel like a real Prince, in fairy tales I now believe

Just tell me what to do to make you mine
I'm willing to cross all oceans and step on land mines
For you I will lay my life, you're a rare Angel
I'll slay all fire-breathing dragons including the devil. Bow!

THE PRISONERS

I couldn't think of any reason
Why a bird so beautiful like you confined in prison
I can't forgive myself doing nothing
You need a hero I've got to do something

Your tears and sufferings melt this heart
It softens me deep inside I thought I'm smart
To other man you already have a commitment
You're life is like hell with his jealousy and temperament

The more I know you the more I get certain
You are the soul mate that I've been waiting
But the situation is inexplicably complicated
We're both tied to people we both never wanted

I've been contemplating about us for so long
If destiny is whispering that to me you belong
The decent man inside me is slowly getting crazy
I want to grab you and bring you far far away

Please darling show me some sign
I need you to tell me you want to be mine
Once you say the words we'll fly somewhere
To find our own paradise and be happy forever.
