GRAND HOME COMING

This isn't my idea of a grand home coming
With empty pockets, in a public bus riding
I was supposed to have my own SUV
With a private driver and digital movie

Too bad my lotto ticket didn't win
And nobody bid for my best poems
So I figured I have to go home empty
Coz I'm missing my birth place like crazy

Maybe my time will soon arrive
I'll be rich and famous when I reach forty five
For now I'm contented, I'll just hang on
Coz I'll be more than happy to be home

My bus travel will be hundreds of miles
I'll enjoy the country side with a happy smile
My neighbors will be surprised I grow up good looking
They won't realize I am broke and aching
